DEVI Past And Present

From Copenhagen to Vejle.
As is the case with many other Danish companies DEVI relocated from Copenhagen to the province during the 1970's and in the early 1980's. DEVI settled in Vejle, with improved road, rail and air links as well as access to motivated and qualified manpower.

Over the 1960's and 1970's the industrial heating elements were DEVI's main product group, but in the early 1980's a considerable export of heating cables began - first to Finland. The first subsidiary companies in Germany, Sweden and Norway were established in the mid 1980's and the export adventure started to take shape. Throughout the 1990's, a number of subsidiary companies were established, among other places in the previous East bloc countries. Focus turned from industrial heating elements to underfloor heating systems and in 1998 DEVI sold its industrial heating elements activities to the NIBE group.

Largest in Europe and soon global
Today DEVI is Europe’s leading company within the industry with a considerable market share. DEVI has sixteen subsidiary companies, two sales offices and four partner companies which are based predominantly in the European market. DEVI has also recently established a sales office in Beijing. DEVI’s production takes place in Vejle, Denmark on two modern ISO 9001 and 14001 certified factories which also accommodate the DEVI group’s head office.
