Feeling the heat in Jersey

DEVI has supplied electric underfloor heating for a luxury residential housing development in St Helier, Jersey. The three-storey houses in La Rue de Mon Sejour, were developed by local property developer, GR Langlois. The company specified deviflex electric underfloor heating as a solution to the heating requirements throughout the properties.

“The system is used as a primary heating source,” explains Damian Maher, Quantity Surveyor at GR Langlois. “We installed it under the ground floor screed, on the first floor and also in the loft conversions in each home. We chose the system due to its competitive pricing, ease of installation and because it satisfied all of the requirements for an energy-saving and efficient whole house heating system.”

deviflex is a highly versatile heating cable which radiates heat evenly across the whole floor area. Due to the precise nature in which the heating is controlled by devireg thermostats, on average the temperature can be lowered by 2ºC without affecting comfort levels. Subsequently, heating can be reduced by around 20%, positively influencing both cost and energy savings.

The 13 new homes are now ready and completed with the deviflex heating system providing regular and economic heat throughout each home, providing maximum comfort and total design freedom to the new homeowners.
