DEVIREG 810
MOISTURE AND TEMPERATURE
Combined moisture and temperature sensor/thermostat system used for outdoor applications.
devireg™ 810 is an electronic control unit for ice and snow melting systems. The thermostat is used for the control of frost protection systems on roofs, in roof gutters and downpipes as well as for control of ice and snow melting systems on ramps, driveways and pavements. The thermostat is equipped with a display which continously shows the status of the installation. It is simple to operate and adjust and measures both air temperature and moisture, ensuring that the system switches on only when necessary.
It is equipped with an alarm that reports operation interferences, aswell as outlets for control of automatic star/delta switching. It can automatically activate the heat during a preset after heat period - adjustable between 0 and 10 hours.
devireg™ 810 (including sensors) is available in two versions:
- Type 1 for ground installations is delivered with two ground sensors for sensing the moisture and temperature on the area surface and an outdoor temperature sensor.
- Type 2 for roof gutter installations is delivered with a moisture sensor to be placed in the roof gutter and one cable sensor sensing the air temperature near the gutter.
Function description:
Ground installations with star/delta switching:
- When the ground temperature falls below the preset melting temperature (0° - 6°C) the installation will begin on a low output. If the ground temperature falls below +2°C (value preset by manufacturer), the installation will automatically switch to high output use.
- When the ground temperature falls below the preset basic temperature (-15° - 5°C), the installation will operate on low output. Only when moisture is sensed will the installation switch to high output use.
- The installation is provided with an air temperature sensor in order to feel possible ground supercooling, which might use surface icing. The installation will switch to low output, if the air temperature is higher than the sensed ground temperature and if the sensed ground temperature is below the selected melting temperature.
- It is possible to use afterheat in the installation, i.e the control unit can be set to ensure that the cables are heating for a certain period after the sensor indication that no more output is required. If the installation has been running on low output, the after-heat will continue on low output. If the installation has been running on a high output the after-heat will continue on a high output.
- Please note that activation in connection with risk of supercooling can be avoided by leaving out temperature sensor.
Ground installation connected directly:
When the sensed air temperature falls below the preset melting temperature and the moisture sensor senses moisture also, the installation will begin operating. The installation operates until the temperature is higher than the preset melting temperature, or the sensor does not sense moisture anymore. The installation can be set to operate with after-heat for up to ten hours.
