Which Flooring?

Ceramic tiles, naturel stone tiles like e.g. marble, terrazzo, wooden parquet, wood laminates or wooden planks, any type of wall to wall carpets, linoleum etc. Thanks to DEVI´s efficient thermostats you can obtain a pleasant room temperature and have a nice, warm floor regardless of floor constructions.

Types of floor surface
You can use any type of flooring on top of DEVI™floor heating system. Linoleum and wood is often used.  The maximum heat resistance value of the floor covering material is 0,125 m² ºC/W which equals approx. 30mm hardwood.

Carpeted floors
Flooring materials with a high insulative value, like thick wool carpets, can limit the heat distribution from the floor. In these cases, consult the supplier of the flooring material for further information. Concrete floors
Normally, heating cables or mats are placed in the lower part of the concrete layer with a maximum thickness of 5cm.

Wooden floors
DEVI’s heating systems can also be installed in all kinds of wooden floors as long as the installation prefaces are observed. The devireg 550 or 540 electronic thermostats ensure that the temperature in the floor construction always corresponds to the tolerance level that the manufacturer of the floor surface has recommended. Wooden floors demand however extra attention. It is important to follow the max. temperature recommendations of the floormanufacturer. Within our design service, we will carry out all of the necessary procedures to ensure that the most efficient system is offered for your project.
